You are not required to haul humanoids with your Surly Longtail Cargo Bike, but if you choose to do so, you may invite them to rest their hooves on the Surly Round Pegs. If your hitchhiker would prefer to dangle their lower extremities all willy nilly instead of placing them on the Round Pegs, that is fine. The Round Pegs do not have feelings. They are made of 6061-T6 aluminum, sold as a pair, and compatible only with Big Easy, Big Dummy, and Big Fat Dummy.
